Treating yourself this holiday season
With the busyness of the holidays and the focus on others, it’s easy to forget to treat yourself now and then. Here’s a list of things that moms do to treat themselves to give you ideas:
- Buy yourself fresh cut flowers.
- Go to the hairdresser, get a fresh cut, even a color or some highlights if you have time.
- Hire a cleaning lady to do the housework (now this, I really want to do)
- Get a manicure or pedicure - it’s also a nice getaway and a relaxing experience.
- Get a body or at least a foot massage - very relaxing in this stressful season.
- Starbucks!! This you can even do with the little one, my little guy loves Starbucks and gets his own cup of soy milk with whipped cream and a slice of pumpkin bread.
- Work out - even a walk around your community with the little one can be relaxing and give you extra energy to finish those many holiday tasks.
- A new body wash or bubble bath can refresh you each day - it’s the little pleasures in life that really mean a lot.
- A babysitter!
- Yoga classes
