Toddler Photo Contest!

by

Alex and I would like to announce a Toddler Photo Contest here at Parenting Toddlers. For this contest, we’ll need you to send us your best toddler photo (or best photos of your child when they WERE a toddler if you’re into embarassing older kids). The photo will be posted at the top of the page throughout the entire week along with the following information:

Child’s Name:
Loves to:
Hates to:
Favorite toy:
Best Toddler Tip From Mom:

Also, please send me the email address that you check most often, so I can notify you when your child becomes our “Toddler of the Week”.

The final result will look something like this:

Having_Fun.jpg

Child’s Name: Nicklas Alexander Remeta aka “Alex”
Loves to: splash in the dog’s water bowl, laugh with his Daddy, watch Oobi on Noggin
Hates to: Have his face cleaned
Favorite toy: LeapStart Learning Table
Best Toddler Tip From Mom: I let Alex hold a spatula or big kitchen spoon while I clean off his face and hands after a meal. It’s something he doesn’t get to see often and it keeps him totally absorbed. Cuts way down on the yelling!

Now, since you will be doing me the honor of sending in your adorable photos, I will do something for you in return. I will track down links to favorite toys (provided they are still in production), so if you see something you haven’t heard of, or would like to find out more about, feel free to click on the toy name. Any other info I can find a reliable link for (favorite tv shows, recipes, toddler products) will be posted in color so you’ll have instantanous access to what works for other Toddler Moms.

*SPECIAL NOTE: You can send in first name, full name, or nickname of your child, whichever you prefer. No other identifiable information (such as birthday or location) will be provided, to protect your personal info.

So, off you go, scan those photos in, find them on your hard drive, dig them out of the linen closet, and get them emailed (Email via the link on the right side of the page or to jnremeta@yahoo.com).

And let’s get that little one’s beautiful face up for everyone to appreciate!!

Ooo, I have an entry! Not sure how to send it on to ya though, since the “contact me” link doesn’t let us send pictures. Let me know how to get ahold of ya!

[...] Deafblind Triplets March 2nd, 2007 by Jennifer Some of you quicker readers out there may have realized we had to discontinue the Toddler of the Week contest. Unfortunately, there appears to be a shortage of parents out there who want to show off their little ones (I, however, am not one of them so you will be seeing more of Alex than you can probably stand). If however, you have a particularly adorable photo you’d like to see on the site, please feel free to email it to me, with a description, to jnremeta@gmail.com. I’m especially looking forward to some spring and summer photos, nothing like enjoying the sunshine! [...]

About Parenting Toddlers

Raising a toddler is one of the most rewarding experiences. We learn just how much love we have in the deepest recesses of our hearts and just how deep the well of our patience can go with only three hours of sleep. We learn to see the world from a new perspective and we delight in the very basic achievements of our children. Amid their tantrums and shouting "No!" toddlers help us to stretch our imaginations and rediscover the books we enjoyed when we were children. Rebecca will share stories of her own children as toddlers, review parenting and children's books and offer suggestions for everything from potty training to catching bugs with a straight face. She will share craft ideas, fun activities, how to form a playgroup, nutrition for toddlers, development, adding a new sibling, your toddler as the youngest child, adopting a toddler and more.
