Toddler Parent Checklist

You know you’re a toddler mom (or dad) when:
1) You recognize dirty diaper smell from a mile away, and it’s not always your own child.
2) You know fifteen different ways to add protein to mac and cheese.
3) You’ve put all your sit around photos in rubber frames to save them from routine breakage.
4) Your television and electronics are covered with a bullet-proof sheet of plexiglass.
5) You stockpile boxes of Cheerios for those really tough days.
6) When chasing down your toddler, your speed puts NFL running backs to shame.
7) You recognize the difference between an “I’m tired” whine and a “I just want a hug” whine. Even when it’s coming from your spouse.
You can load and unload a week’s worth of groceries in three seconds flat.
9) The secondary alarm on your alarm clock is set to “Naptime”.
10) You find nothing more precious in the world than a hug from a mud-splattered toddler.

I would add to #1 - you smell it and know if it is your child!
Great list!

All of those skills are the stepping stones leading you to the wonderful lessons you will someday learn as the mom of a teen, lol. ;0)
