The top 5 Cars products for your toddler’s Christmas list
Shake & Go Racers - Mater the Tow Truck and Lightning McQueen. My little guy LOVES Mater, he begs us to talk like Mater and cackles at him. Since he also loves to drive his little cars all over the place, this is a great size for him to both push around and shake up. The shake & go’s have always been nice and sturdy, in my opinion, as well, which is a big thing around here with the crash and bash test to which he submits all his beloved objects.
Mack Truck Bachelor Pad Playset - this is one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while. I’d say this is better for older toddlers - 3 and up really - who are a little gentler on their toys and know how to manage small parts. That’s the only reason I’m not getting it for my little guy, it is super cute though!
Make Me Laugh Mater is a plush toy with funny sayings. As mentioned above, my little guy loves Mater and the way he talks, so I imagine this toy would become a treasured toy to be slept with and dragged along with us everywhere.
Lightning McQueen -Smack and Yack Plush Car - just way too funny not to include. We have a fish along these lines and he never gets tired of smacking that thing around, hee hee hee.
Finally, this read-aloud storybook featuring all the Cars characters is a must-have (and a great way to get them really interested in a book).

This is actually a really helpful list. I have 2 girls and I’m clueless when it comes to buying gifts for boys. Thanks!

Funny- when I read the title of your post I assumed, wrongly, this was a list of things to get your little one for when he/she is IN the car with you. That is an area that is very important to us with 4 girls we haul around in our van. If you are in the same boat as me, check out ThingamaKid. They make fun music DVDs to watch in the car, and also include a music CD in each package. Thought someone might find it interesting.

Ah, Rich, a different sort of cars indeed. Surviving car trips with your toddler and even How to entertain kids on airplanes from my other blog might be helpful to you ;).

I love those shake and go cars. Our track got doused with bleach when our daughter tried to help clean when we weren’t paying attention. A few other toys also got bleached and I just threw them out. I made sure to clean up the shake and go, though. Every kid that has ever been over to our house loves it.
